Huddle Space Furniture - Typical workplace meeting rooms often require advanced booking to guarantee their availability, yet the modern work environment increasingly requires last minute and of-the-moment one-to-one discussion, which can often be difficult in a busy workplace. A huddle space provides a casual, convenient workspace which facilitates spontaneous employee collaboration using their mobiles, laptops and tablets via integrated wireless connectivity.
A huddle space could be anything from a small-sized 2 person desk featuring a display (either wall mounted or integrated directly into the furniture), upto a 4-6 person space for a last minute video conferencing session, with two displays and full wireless connectivity.
Ultimately a huddle space is a great way of increasing productivity and allowing a more flexible approach to get work done in a less formal environment. The cost of multiple huddle spaces can in some cases provide a lower cost option versus one large meeting space.
A huddle space can be equipped with any of the following AV;
- Wireless connectivity for phones, tablets & laptops (with upto four users on screen at once)
- Integrated cabling to connect laptops & macs
- Interactive displays or whiteboards
- Video Conferencing units
- AV Control Panels, to control the equipment
Collaborative Furniture - Many organisations are embracing the idea of creating ‘collaborative working environments’, where employees can meet to collaborate on current projects, sharing ideas and information in an efficient and engaging way. The Integration of AV technology directly into furniture creates a seamless collaborative experience, greatly enhancing employee collaboration and maximising workplace efficiency.
All required cabling (including the AV, power and data cabling) can be incorporated into the furniture design, creating a neat & tidy workspace, along with desktop PC’s & wireless connectivity for Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) scenarios.
Nearly all of the furniture options feature the option to install ‘button panel controllers’, allowing users to turn the system on and off, control the volume and switch between different AV inputs with ease. As the equipment is integrated into the desk, you’ll also eliminate trip hazards due to ‘trailing cables’, which better adhere to ever more stringent Health & Safety requirements.
