Projector Installations – Projectors feature strongly in our installation portfolio for schools and higher education. NAV are projection system specialists for classroom, lecture theatres and school halls. From a short throw interactive projector installed on a classroom ceiling to a high brightness large screen projection system in a school hall, we have considerable experience as a school projector installer. Once we’ve established which current projector best suits your needs in terms of brightness and general performance we’ll match to a suitable projection screen, pull-down, electric or fixed, advise on a audio system and speakers and install it all together with wall panel connectivity that is completely user friendly. Our school projection systems are designed for multiple users to operate intuitively with minimal effort.
PA Systems & Audio – Classroom video projection and interactive displays have developed considerably in the past decade and become ever more common in educational environments due to the lowered cost of installation. Video is only one half of the equation however, as audio plays a vital role in delivering the information that students need to learn, yet this is often overlooked and can adversely affect the students rate of learning. Recent studies prove that classroom speaker systems are essential in the teaching environment, as students that have trouble hearing the teacher score lower on exams.
Digital Signage - At all levels, the Education sector is increasingly using technology to deliver information to teachers, students and visitors. Digital signage provides a means of presenting a range of information including welcome videos, important messages, health & safety advice and live social media feeds, such as Twitter & Facebook.

For restricted budgets, we can also offer professional displays with built in signage - or ‘System on Chip Digital Signage’. Touchscreen Technology – As technology progresses, classroom AV advances. Long gone are OHP’s and blackboards, replaced by modern projectors with SmartBoard technology and fully Interactive Displays. As affordability continues to improve Interactive touchscreens are ever increasingly becoming the norm even at primary school level. Wirelessly linking these as a multi-screen solution for full student collaboration is the next natural step.
The latest touchscreens come with intuitive education focussed software built-in which enables students and teachers to collaborate interactively, connect and mirror mobile devices, delivering content wirelessly throughout the classroom. They also no longer require regular calibration or infinite adjustments to operate smoothly. The anti-glare, glass surface with sensitive and rapid response time is akin to using a giant wall mounted iPad! High brightness, rich colour rendition and on-board sound mean nobody in the classroom misses a thing.

AV Furniture – In the modern teaching environment, AV furniture provides the interface between the teacher and technology. Highly-functional lecterns, workstations and podiums can integrate almost any type of AV equipment from microphones, visualisers and confidence monitors, to complete AV systems, and can be produced in a wide variety of styles and colours.
In the collaborative teaching environment, huddle spaces and collaboration tables encourage hands on participation and group work, with technology at their core. Sophisticated AV Control allows for straightforward operation by any user, with the option for a complete cable management system, including power, data and AV cabling, integrated directly into the desk.

Lecture Capture - Lecture capture technology harnesses the power of video and audio recording to capture, archive and share content. We install systems that support and enhance remote learning by recording interactive lessons and lectures and giving students instant access to the recordings online.
The systems capture from multiple sources including cameras, computers and attached video devices creating a media rich record of the lesson or lecture. Viewers can fully participate, make notes whilst viewing, lecturers can add and upload supporting materials. NAV have experience in multiple lecture capture installations in further education environments.
We offer a range of Service & Maintenance Support contracts that can be tailored to your exact requirements, from an annual service visit, right through to a comprehensive support package designed to fully protect your investment. Our experienced service engineers will call to arrange an appropriate visit schedule and perform the required service/maintenance at the agreed intervals. Once complete, we’ll send you an engineers report on the work we’ve carried out, noting the findings and highlighting any potential areas of concern.
Our support contracts can be arranged to commence immediately following an installation for any period of time and to cover almost any item of AV equipment. If the room is ‘mission critical’ to the operations of the department, we can store duplicate equipment dedicated to your installation, so that room downtime is considerably reduced.
We can also repair and support existing schooll AV Installations even if we did not originally install them. We undertake an initial site survey to determine the nature of the equipment to support and provide a detailed quote with a suggested service routine. Working Safely in Education
Health & safety and student security is of prime importance to us, our engineers hold a range of accreditations and certification including: CHAS, Safe Contractor, SSTS, PASMA, IPAF and Police NPPV Level 3 clearance. Our 100% commitment to H&S means our engineers will always work safely and legally whilst on your premises. We are fully insured for all our education installation and onsite repair work.
Asbestos in school buildings remains an ongoing and increasing issue. Any school contractor or installer should be fully aware of the risks involved and current directives in managing the risks to both themselves and the building users. All NAV installation engineers undertake regular asbestos awareness training and hold the relevant certification to enable them to work safely at your premises.
Should you require us to remove and dispose of any existing AV equipment or waste ICT electronic equipment, it is all collected and disposed of in accordance with the current Waste Electronic Equipment (WEEE) regulations.
