Healthcare & Medical
NAV supply bespoke AV equipment and system integration for Hospitals, Post Graduate Centres and Health Authorities throughout the UK. We have a proven track record in delivering reliable, cost effective AV systems for the healthcare industry. Our recent projects are varied and include digital signage installations for hospital foyers, lecture theatre AV, through to state of the art Audio Visual technology for medical training in simulation suites.
Our experience in the field of medical AV means we recognise no two requirements are ever quite the same, with this in mind we won’t just supply off-the-shelf products and packages. We assess every project individually and deliver turnkey solutions that are not just fit for purpose, but are future proof and highly cost effective. All our system installations utilise professional, high grade AV equipment for reliability and full commercial compliance.
For over 50 years we’ve been successfully integrating AV into a multitude of medical educational environments, from small teaching rooms through to large scale lecture theatres. We understand that the medical environment is fast-paced and unrelenting our systems are designed to be flexible, but without unneccessary complexity. Having the right AV system in a multi user environment equals more time teaching and less time trying to get things to work correctly.
Modern Lecture Theatres can feature a range of complex AV equipment from screens & projectors, to PA Systems, microphones and visualisers. Our system designers will work closely with you to deliver a comprehensive system that can be controlled using simple touch screen interfaces, from industry standard manufacturers such as Extron, AMX or Crestron. We can also provide AV training and create ‘Instructional Guides’ to help new users confidently approach the system and begin presenting within minutes.

Digital Signage & Videowalls – Digital signage is a modern method of delivering information to staff, visitors and patients, via the use of LCD/LED Displays, Projection Screens and Videowalls. This information could be in the form of emergency healthcare announcements, directions for patients around the healthcare facility or to simply show live TV in a waiting room. It can be just a single display in a reception area, to a site-wide, centrally controlled signage system distributed over the existing IT network.
Standalone Digital Signage units feature common video outputs (such as HDMI) and can therefore be used with almost any type of display, including projectors & screens and large videowalls. Many display manufacturers such as Samsung, Philips and NEC also offer displays with digital signage built in.
Waiting Area Digital Signage – The signage system displays live Freeview TV - keeping patients occupied and shortening perceived waiting times - whilst also displaying text information such as recent healthcare announcements, weather updates and even adverts to generate additional revenue for the Healthcare Facility. The signage display can be completely self-contained requiring no user input once it has been setup, or it could be connected to the internal network and updated by a member of staff to show important announcements.
Videowall Digital Signage – A videowall makes a strong focal point for visitors, with a digital signage system playing back high-resolution media content on a loop. The signage system can be scheduled to automatically turn on during normal working hours and off at the end of the day, or to run 24/7 where appropriate. Content can be updated easily accoss the network as required.
Interactive Touchscreens & Medical Displays – The availability of cost effective UHD high resolution screen technology has transformed medical training and clinical collaboration. Accurate diagnosis is critical to determine the treatment a patient requires. To achieve reliable clinical interpretations, screen images must be reproduced at the highest quality.
At NAV we supply and install medical grade touch screen displays and interactive display solutions for medical professionals in all healthcare environments.
Medical Training Simulation Suites – NAV supply AV equipment and technical support for Medical Simulation Suites to hospitals and healthcare training centres across the UK. We are the approved Audio Visual integrators for some of the leading simulation suite system providers.
Interactive human patient simulators allow clinicians the opportunity to train and learn a wide range of medical procedures in a risk free environment. Our simulator suite Audio Visual solutions whilst intrinsic to the system functionality are designed to be easy to operate and totally reliable, to allow 100% focus on the medical training rather than the operation of the technology facilitating it.
Our years of experience as simulation suite AV installer means we fully understand the technology required and can recommend a range of suitable solutions. We can also repair and upgrade existing pre-installed suites with the latest high definition cameras, displays and switchers.

Healthcare Collaboration - Collaboration rooms provide an excellent way to allow medical professionals to get together and quickly and efficient discuss patient issues and general healthcare matters. The integrated technology, both wired and wireless gives the opportunity for users to begin sharing information with minimal fuss, increasing overall productivity and nurturing a team-based atmosphere.
Collaboration rooms combine stylish, yet functional furniture with integrated AV technology to create a seamless collaborative experience for the user. There are many different styles, colours and finishes of furniture available and these can be combined with almost any type of AV technology, such as displays/TV’s and easy to use control systems, allowing the users to control the system with ease.
The collaboration suites are also suited to various training scenarios, allowing trained educators to provide an effective learning environment for medical students and developing professionals.
