Church Audio Visual Systems
NAV specialise in professional audio visual equipment installations for churches and places of worship. We understand the importance and symbolic value religious buildings hold for a congregation, our AV installations are always undertaken with great care and respect for the surroundings. We are experts at integrating Audio Visual equipment in churches, all our installations are bespoke and sympathetic to the character and architecture of your building.
Our initial site visit and consultations are made without charge or obligation; one of our experienced church AV surveyors will take the time to listen to your specific AV requirements and assess exactly what equipment suits your project. From there we will submit an accurate, detailed project proposal that meets your needs and fits the budget agreed by your Parochial Church Council.
We have a portfolio of past AV work in churches and places of worship throughout the East Midlands. We install church projectors and screens, sound systems and hearing loops, LED screens and bespoke church AV furniture. Our installlers are specialists and highly experienced at integrating the latest technology seamlessly in to religious environments.

Whether you are looking to upgrade an existing audio system or design and install from new, we can help. Churches can be some of the most acoustically challenging buildings and audio systems need careful design to ensure that both the coverage and speech/music reproduction is to a high standard. Our highly skilled audio engineers design and install PA and speaker systems that are tried, tested and proven in church environments. We offer a wide range of church sound system solutions, including products from JBL/Harman and HK Audio with the option for speakers colour matched to your buildings decor.
To complement the main sound system, we also supply and install Analog and Digital Mixing Desks (and associated digital stage boxes), wired and wireless microphones and induction loop systems, both traditional and infra-red.
Church Hearing Loop systems, commonly also known as induction loops, are often a vital part of a church service. The church environment is often not well suited for speech reproduction, due to the presence of hard surfaces such as stone and glass which cause considerable reverberation or ‘echo’. Even for those with good hearing it can be challenging to hear the service and for listeners that suffer from hearing loss, it can be extremely difficult. We are frequently approached to make improvements to existing systems which are poorly designed making the situation even worse.
NAV can install a church hearing loop system as part of a new installation or simply integrate one with your existing church audio system. For sensitive installation locations such as listed buildings or where it’s not possible to easily fix a loop cable, we also offer a range of infra-red assistive listening systems to support hearing impaired worshippers.
Aesthetics form a key part of the church environment. To complement our installation systems we offer a range of cost effective, off-the–shelf church furniture that will blend seamlessly into the surroundings, whilst still providing the required functionality. We can also offer bespoke furniture installation services should the extensive range of products not be suited fully to the environment. AV Furniture can be as simple as a lectern with easy to use AV input switching equipment, to multi-person operator desks for digital audio mixers and complex video switching equipment.
NAV have a 50 year history of successfully installing audio visual installations. Our AV installation engineers are experts who will recommend the most appropriate equipment to meet your needs, whilst being sympathetic to your budget and carefully considering the aesthetic impact. We offer a range of audio visual products including Projectors & Screens, Displays/TV’s, Audio & PA Systems (including wired & wireless microphones), induction loops and AV furniture suitable for the church environment.
Onsite health & safety is of prime importance to us. Our engineers hold a range of accreditations and certification including: CHAS, Safe Contractor, SSTS, PASMA, IPAF, ECS, Asbestos Awareness Training and Police NPPV Level 3 clearance, so you can be assured that we will always work safe and legally whilst on your premises. We are also fully insured for all our church installation work.
If you’re in need of emergency repairs, we offer an engineer callout service to help rectify the problem and get you up and running as soon as possible, regardless of who the original supplier was. It’s not our policy to try to sell you new equipment if it’s simply not needed, so we’ll attempt to repair the product before discussing replacement AV equipment.
If your current system requires a simple upgrade or rewire, such as the addition of an induction loop or a wireless microphone we’ll seamlessly integrate this new equipment into your existing church installation.
Our AV servicing & maintenance solutions offer peace of mind for your new or existing audio visual installation. We offer a varied range of fully-transparent service & maintenance agreements to keep your AV installation operating to its full potential. Head over to the ‘AV Maintenance’ page for further information.
At NAV we respect these opinions and always consider the impact the equipment and our work will have the architecture of the church. We have numerous bespoke options that enable almost seamless integration of AV technology, including; discreet speaker systems, low profile LED wall screens and traditional wood cabinets for AV racks. We also supply motorised retractable screen systems that virtually disappear up and out of sight when not in use.
